Apparently the economy isn’t so bad after all.
The Mets sold more than 6,000 Shea Stadium seats during the first two hours of the public sale on Monday. The seats are being sold at $689 for a pair.

The Mets won 9-1 to gain a 3 game series split over the Astros on the back of Mike Pelfrey’s 2nd consecutive complete game.
