Mets 2008 Civil Rights Game Jerseys Unveiled

Mets Civil Rights Jersey Bart Hubbuch’s NY Post Mets Blog has the first look at the jerseys that the Mets will wear on Saturday as they take on the White Sox in the 2nd Annual Civil Rights Game in Memphis, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968.

As was the case last season for the inaugural game, both teams are wearing similar bland/generic uniforms that have almost nothing to do with their usual uniforms or the Negro Leagues.

This season’s uniforms are cream colored (like the SF Giants), which gives them a bit more of a throwback feel.

The game will be braodcast on ESPN, this Saturday March 29 at 5:00 eastern.
