Mets Alumni Report (Or Omar Minaya, The Teflon Don)

Today in Detroit, Brian Bannister pitched 7 innings of 2 hit, 4 strikeout ball today against the potent Tigers lineup. Meanwhile, somewhere else, Ambiorix Burgos watched the game on the free preview of MLB Extra Innings…hopefully, he finally paid his former landlord.

Seeing as how the Mets have had more than enough starting pitching the last two seasons, that was a trade that needed to be made.

Lastings (It Takes A) Milledge homered for the Washington Nationals on Monday and has been well received by his manager and teammates.

Gotti

An astute caller to Mike & The Mad Dog (yes, I listen to that crap) today called Omar Minaya “The Teflon Don”. I wish I would have thought of that, but I am adopting that for my own use on this blog.

Omar is great when it comes to spending Wilpons’s money. Making Trades? Not so much.
