If You Are Going To Opening Day…

Lets get the Mets-Phillies rivalry off to a great start, the fans at Shea have a chance to fire the first “blow”.

I’m sure we’ll boo Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard, and Chase Utley–who’s name sounds like he should be the douchey, obnoxious, collar up bad guy in a 80’s teen movie…actually, so does Cole Hamels.

But we need to be better (or is it worse) than just booing. Booing is simple and easy.

So when Brett Myers gets introduced during the pre-game ceremonies, you are your friends need to sing/yell:

“Beat your wife Myers, beat your wife.” (CLAP-CLAP)

If you are a Rangers fan, you’ve heard this during Rangers-Islanders games directed at Denis Potvin. If you are unfamiliar with it from the Rangers chant, you have definitely heard it before. It sounds like “Here we go team name, here we go.”

Unfortunately, the Mets won’t get to see Myers this series. So we can’t serenade him every inning he’s on the mound . That time will come. Until then, this will have to do. Yes, I know Myers beat his wife almost 2 years ago, but it is still a disgusting incident.

The Phillies fans have been getting a little testy about how many of us fill Citizens Bank Park when the Mets play there. Its time to fire the first salvo of the season.

Last year’s Opening Day “Jim-my Roll-ins” chant after his error was priceless. We need to do something again. If you know someone who is going to the game, link them to this posting or just tell your friends about what to do.

Thank you and LETS GO METS!
