Alou: Back By Friday?

The Daily News’ Adam Rubin is reporting on his blog that today’s MRI has revealed that Moises Alou does not have a fracture in his right ankle.

Alou worked out with the team at Shea following his MRI and Willie Randolph was quoted as saying that “He looks good”.

Since Randolph is always completely honest and accurate with his assessments, I think this means Alou was taking batting practice from a wheelchair.

Though, Alou does say that he will be ready to be activated for Friday’s game in Arizona.

This news completely contradicts an earlier Mets Blog report that had eyewitness accounts of Alou limping into his MRI today.

A press conference at Shea is forthcoming with further details about Alou.

As for Brian Schneider, he is STILL in the hospital getting treated for the Bubonic Plague. Brian should have gone to see Dr. House, he would have had Brian cured in an hour.
