Mets To Shop Castillo?

Adam Rubin speculates in today’s Daily News that the Mets may look to trade Luis Castillo in the offseason.

According to Rubin, Daniel Murphy has been asked by the Mets to play second base in the Arizona Fall League. Thus, they would potentially like to put Murph at 2B next season.

Murphy played third base in the minors and was asked to play second base with Binghamton as a precaution in July because Castillo’s health looked shaky.

The Mets will undoubedtly have to eat a considerable amount of Castillo’s 4 year, $25 million contract if they are to trade him.

UPDATE: Castillo was been caught looking THREE TIMES tonight. Just cut him already.
