Wagner Closes His Career With The Mets

The New York Post has an “exclusive” interview with Billy Wagner who had “Tommy John” surgery on his left elbow on Wednesday.

Hagner has come to grips with what the year long recovery time means:

“I’ve played my last day as a Met, that’s the way it goes,”

Scott Schoeneweis has offered to drive Wags to Shea for the rest of the season and Wagner plans to make some appearances.

  1. Wow… that is ROUGH. 😦 Scho/Wags definitely seem to be good friends. I’m glad Scho offered to keep the carpool going, at least.

I saw on BMF that you spotted Pelf/Maine yesterday! Cool! Where was it?
