Bring Back Bobby

Its nothing against Jerry Manuel, who I think is a good guy and a good leader.  But the Mets need a change…

Since we are not going to get what this team REALLY needs (new owners and a new GM), a return of Bobby Valentine as Mets manager is the next best thing.  This will re-energize the fan base heading into Citi Field in 2009 and and he’ll give the lackluster roster a much needed kick in the rear.

He got a lesser talent to a World Series, surely he do more with the current group.

The Bring Back Bobby (BBB) movement starts right here, right now.

  1. The BBB movement started after the collapse last year. It fell on deaf ears then, it’s falling on deaf ears now, and I’m afraid it’s going to fall on deaf ears after the season.

Whether you like it or not, we’re going to have four more years of Omar and at least two more years of Jerry.

  2. After the way the Mets treated Bobby and the recent handling of Willie what do you think the Mets can do to get Bobby V. to come back?

  3. That was a different regime.

Plus, from what I have read, Omar and Bobby like each other.

  4. I’d love to have Bobby V back in a nanosecond…but can you imagine Omar NOT having a “yes” guy in there? How much you want to bet that Jerry playing Luis had everything to do with Omar getting in his ear? Jerry is so far from a yes-guy, I doubt he stays on as full-time manager next season…
