This Can’t Continue

It just occured to me that the Mets have already have four 1-run losses out of their five losses overall.

No one is getting timely hits but David Wright really needs to step it up.  It seems like every time he comes up in a big spot with runners on base this season, he strikes out.  Which is what he did last night in the 4th inning with Jose Reyes on third (Reyes likely would have been home if it wasn’t for the idiot kid who interfered with  Daniel Murphy’s double down the line during the previous AB).

It is clear what is wrong with Wright, he seems to be swinging for the fences with every AB.  Keith Hernandez pointed out on SNY last night that Wright is swinging with a pronounced upper cut.  The same sort of upper cut that we have seen during past funks of his.

This can’t continue.
